Betty, I’m absolutely lost for words! Thank you so much, they are absolutely amazing. When I manage to get myself together I will find the right words. Cornelius and I are sat here re-living every wonderful moment of our very special day, thank you xx
This was another one of my favourite weddings last summer, the wonderful day that Sheryl and Cornelius got married at Berwick Lodge in Bristol! I met Sheryl through a wedding planner that I had met at a wedding fair and it was quickly apparent how well we got on and that we were (also) a great match – Cornelius is German like me and therefore a bilingual photographer was a must have.
I met up with Sheryl in the morning while she had her hair done at a local hair dresser. When then returned to Berwick Lodge where both her and Cornelius got ready, in separate locations of course. The ceremony was emotional, the drinks reception full of magic from a very charming young magician, the speeches outstanding and whitty and the evening filled with music and candy and photo booths and freshly drawn caricatures – wedding bliss!!

So if you are getting married at Berwick Lodge or anywhere else in the South West and you are still looking for a creative wedding photographer, then please feel free to contact me.

The moment the bride and her dad pause, look at each other and touch noses for a second, before leaving the room to walk down the aisle. You can see the deep affection between these two.

Wow, 2014 – what an amazing, mind-blowing, exhausting, educational & inspiring year it was! I had the pleasure to not only photograph many, many beautiful weddings, but also many pregnant ladies, new babies, older babies, grown up babies and families. I met Dr Brian May (and took his photo – what an amazing, gentle and friendly man he is!), once shot three weddings in one week, had Agne make a wonderful behind-the-scenes-video for me, traveled abroad to shoot an old friend’s wedding in good old Berlin (blog post to follow soon), designed a brand new website and have more new project ideas in my head now than I will ever have time for.
I have decided to show the best of 2014 in two blog posts – one about wedding photography and one about maternity, newborn & family portraits (coming next) – it would be too difficult to show all of these pictures in one post.
Selecting images for this blog post was hard and took a long time. I narrowed it down from 300 (i know…) to almost 100 (hopefully that won’t crush my or your server). I tried to show you a great variety and hope you enjoy looking through this long blog post.

And last but not least, this is me according to Ian Lloyd:

If you made it till the end of this long blog post, I thank you a lot for your patience and interest. I cannot wait to see what 2015 brings and am so excited!
Love Betty x
