Wow, 2014 – what an amazing, mind-blowing, exhausting, educational & inspiring year it was! I had the pleasure to not only photograph many, many beautiful weddings, but also many pregnant ladies, new babies, older babies, grown up babies and families. I met Dr Brian May (and took his photo – what an amazing, gentle and friendly man he is!), once shot three weddings in one week, had Agne make a wonderful behind-the-scenes-video for me, traveled abroad to shoot an old friend’s wedding in good old Berlin (blog post to follow soon), designed a brand new website and have more new project ideas in my head now than I will ever have time for.
I have decided to show the best of 2014 in two blog posts – one about wedding photography and one about maternity, newborn & family portraits (coming next) – it would be too difficult to show all of these pictures in one post.
Selecting images for this blog post was hard and took a long time. I narrowed it down from 300 (i know…) to almost 100 (hopefully that won’t crush my or your server). I tried to show you a great variety and hope you enjoy looking through this long blog post.

And last but not least, this is me according to Ian Lloyd:

If you made it till the end of this long blog post, I thank you a lot for your patience and interest. I cannot wait to see what 2015 brings and am so excited!

Hi Betty, It’s us again. We got the package, it’s so cool we took photos of the unboxing! We absolutely love each and every picture, we spent ages on slideshow mode going “that’s a really good one” and “that’s a really good one” over and over. Such a fantastic memories for us. We really can’t believe it’s all over and we’re back to work again, but we have your photos and our memories to help the crash back to reality. We wish we could do it all again. Love, Richard & Paula
In Part 1 you saw how Paula & Richard got married at the Taunton Registry Office on a Friday beginning of May. This blog post is about their Saturday celebrations at beautiful Huntstile Organic Farm. I went over in the late morning to see Paula and her family getting ready. Huntstile has quite a few rooms so everyone can get ready in a different corner. Of course it took the boys less than ten minutes to be suited and booted.
I joined Richard and the guests on the tractor pulled hanger on their way up to the stone circle. Paula followed in the owner’s four by four. The outdoor ceremony was emotional, witnessed by lots of friends & family, and most importantly it was officiated by two of their closest friends. While most of the guests chose to take the tractor back down the hill, a few guests walked with Richard, Paula and I.
Back at the farm, the drinks reception was soon followed by the wedding breakfast and three of the funniest, most eloquent and touching speeches I have ever heard. Actually the best man’s speech was a video recorded speech as he had been travelling the world at the time of the wedding. A video camera pointed at the wedding guests recorded their response to the speech which was sent back to the best man.
I finished the day with documenting the first dance, some pretty amazing live Argentine Tango (the bride’s aunt!) and some romantic outdoor shots of Paula & Richard.
