A month ago I was lucky to photograph this wedding together with very talented German wedding photographer Roland Michels who shot my own wedding a few years back. Our couple Laura and Mark celebrated their wedding in beautiful Hedingham Castle in Essex. I left home at the crack of dawn to drive from Bath to Essex via Heathrow Airport where I collected Roland. When you arrive at Hedingham Castle you catch a glimpse of the magnificent old castle through the trees and it doesn’t fail to impress.
Here is a selection of my photos from their celebration in Essex.

It was really lovely to have Betty taking photos on our wedding day; we felt well and truly at ease with her, and this definitely shows in our fantastic wedding pictures. Betty captured the warmth and joy of the day perfectly, as well as taking photos of all the important details; she has an excellent eye for creative and interesting shots that make a refreshing change from the norm. Thank you again Betty – we can’t wait to put up some of your beautiful photos in our new house.
Last year my sister-in-law Amy got married in the Lake District and I was both guest and wedding photographer of the day. As both my husband and my sister-in-law are half Indian, Amy decided to embrace her heritage and wear a custom made red wedding dress for the day. She looked absolutely stunning! Being a February wedding it was no surprise to wake up to a fresh layer of snow in the morning. Luckily Merewood is one of those country houses where you have a fire burning in every other room so we were all warm and toasty. Amy and David got ready in separate rooms but close to each other which is idea for wedding reportages. You can easily pop over to see one while the other is busy with something else.
If you are interested how I took the shot of the girls holding up the heart shaped lollies then have a look at the behind the scenes video on my wedding information page.
