It is not only children who grow so quickly and therefore chance the face of a family changes all the time. Everybody gets older, we all change. Therefore it is invaluable to capture family moments. Family portraits can include babies, children, parents, uncles, grandparents, in-laws or godparents and can be taken pretty much anywhere. At your home, on the playground, in the forrest, on the beach, in the zoo, on holiday, at a 70th birthday party or during a Christmas get-together. Older children might find portraits more fun in combination with a day out and away from home whereas younger children might need the home comfort to be happy and relaxed. I am flexible to come see you where and when suits you best (depending on distance travel fees may apply).

What’s included in a family portrait session:

A whole hour of taking various family portraits at a local park (I can recommend the best places). This allows plenty of time for different setups, settings in and around beautiful nature as well as playful portraits of everyone. Allowing an hour for family shoots has the huge advantage of allowing the kids to warm up to me properly, interact with me rather than being shy and therefore result in better portraits.

You get 40-50 digital files via a private online gallery from which you can download them. Price for shoots within 15 miles of Bath.

Betty has done two family photos shoots for us over the last few years, one of them during Covid restrictions which she planned very professionally. She manages to capture the essence of ‘family’ in her work and always has creative ways to get the best use of her time with you, which is always fun and lively! I would thoroughly recommend Betty!

I’m so pleased with the wonderful photos that Betty took of my daughter. This was an 18th birthday present from September and we went to Alexandra park to take photos of the beautiful autumn colours. It was all socially distanced so worked well. Betty really got to know Jessie as a young person and that came out in the photos. We managed a couple of clothes changes too all in 2 hours.

Betty has done 2 family photo shoots for us over the last 2 years and we have been extremely happy with the results each time. She is very friendly and managed to put my children at ease to get some lovely shots of them.
