Maternity Portraits

A pregnancy is a very special time in a woman’s life. Your body changes and creates new life. Most women will experience this process only a very few times in their lives, maybe even only once. It’s a time to look after yourself, celebrate what your body is capable of and enjoy the anticipation of the imminent arrival. Although shoots are usually booked as much in advance as possible, I will always do my very best to fit you in should you be late in your pregnancy and wish to have pictures taken.

Newborn Portraits

I know from my own experience how amazing, mind-blowing, fabulous but also frightening it is to have a newborn, particularly if it is your first! Tiny newborn features change too quickly, which is why it is essential to book a newborn portrait session for the first two weeks of the baby’s life. I am making it as easy for baby and parents as possible by doing all newborn portrait shoots in the comfort of the parent’s home. The parents can be involved and do not need to leave their precious newborn out of sight at any time.

What’s included in maternity and newborn photo shoots:

You can either book individual session or a bump & baby package (two shoots).

Maternity Shoot:  enjoy a one hour long pregnancy portrait shoot in the comfort of your home or in a location of your choice. You get 40-50 digital files via a private online gallery from which you can download all of them. Price for shoots within 15 miles of Bath. Price £235

 

Newborn Shoot: two hours of natural photographs of your brand new baby in the comfort of your own home, allowing time for feeding as well as outfit changes. You get 40-50 digital files via a private online gallery from which you can download them. Price for shoots within 15 miles of Bath. Price £275

Both the maternity and newborn sessions are so precious to us, we really enjoyed them and the result is amazing.

The maternity session was great fun as Betty came with lots of ideas and also listened to all of ours.

I was dreading the newborn session as I was not feeling very well after the birth but Betty came and was so loving and gentle with Maya, she looked after every little detail (temperature of the room, making sure Maya’s modesty was protected) and we felt very comfortable and relaxed. The result was great photos that are really personal to us. We didn’t think you could achieve such great pictures at home without being in a studio but Betty can!
